Top 5 Lakers Trade Heists of All Time: BR5

BR5Daily ShowOctober 18, 2012

Welcome to BR5, your daily source of sports and pop culture news.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most winningest teams in all of the National Basketball Association. They have created some of the most marketable superstars in all of sports, from Magic Johnson to Shaquille O'Neal.

Unfortunately for the rest of the league, the allure of Hollywood and perfect weather makes the Lakers an attractive destination for almost every player.

Lakers management has managed to pull off some of the most lopsided trade heists in all of basketball, and it has been a large contributing factor to the team's continued success. The combination of smart management, deep pockets and talent development has allowed the Lakers to convince teams to give up some of their best players.

They have a strong history of pulling off upset trades as far back as the 1970s, and that tradition thrives today. Check out the video above to see some of the most egregious trade heists in all of NBA history.

Do you think that the Lakers are the best at pulling off unfair trades, or are there other examples of teams that do it better? Let us know in the comments below.
