Arkansas Basketball: Yawn, Another Suspension

Razorback ExpatsSenior Analyst IMarch 11, 2009

Per a little known federal statute, at least one Razorback basketball player must be suspended from the team at any given time. To keep the feds from knocking down his office door, John Pelphrey has—once again—suspended Jason Henry indefinitely.

I don’t know if Pelphrey is overly eager to discipline guys or if his players are truly this slack, but the number of suspensions during the coach’s two-year tenure has become grimly amusing. We lost count around 5,000.

On a serious note, given Pelphrey’s comments about Henry throughout the season and the fact that this is no less than Jason’s THIRD suspension this year, color me skeptical that Henry will return to Fayetteville next fall.
