The Program: Where LSU, Texas and Florida State Are on Upset Alert

First and foremost, this week starts out with a ceremonial pat on the back. That's right, certainly you remember a week ago when I was extremely bullish on the Texas Tech Red Raiders taking down the West Virginia Mountaineers. Luck or skill, it's still a plus for the kid, haha.

This week on "Upset Alert," we've got the Bayou Bengals, the Longhorns and the Florida State Seminoles.

Les Miles' team is leaving Red Stick to head to College Station for a chance to take out Johnny "Football" Manziel and impress some of those Texas recruits that he covets so much. After seeing the way the Aggies moved the football (albeit against Louisiana Tech), should LSU fans be worried about the Tigers defense?

Probably not, especially since Texas A&M still has not truly stopped anyone with their defense.

Texas comes off a behind-whipping in the Red River Shootout to take on the Baylor Bears, a team it lost to handily a year ago. Now, with no RGIII, can the Bears duplicate that success in DKR, against a Longhorn defense that is absolutely reeling?

We wrap up our three-spot special in the Sunshine State. Florida State and Miami. The big old rivalry.

This year, only one of the teams is any good, and it has been years since the game was anything more than just a regional affair. Miami folks are talking pride, the rivalry and how their players will step up; I guess we'll see, because Florida State is clearly the superior team going into this game.

And yes, we have a bonus: Clemson hosting Virginia Tech. The Program has you covered where upsets are concerned; enjoy this week's Upset Alert.
