Middleweight Martinez Decides on Knee Surgery

After going back and forth on whether he would have surgery on his injured right knee or opt for rehabilitation, middleweight world champion Sergio Martinez has decided he will have surgery. Martinez will undergo the arthroscopic procedure in Spain to repair a partially torn meniscus that he suffered when he was knocked out in the electrifying 12th round of his unanimous decision victory against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Sept. 15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
