According to a report on Kentucky Sports Radio, 2013 five-star prospect Marcus Lee is set to decide his college destination this Wednesday, October 17 2012. The 6'9" forward from the west coast is down to two schools and will choose between Kentucky and California.
However, the suspense is lacking from this announcement as all signs indicate that Lee will join the Wildcats. He just visited the University of Kentucky this past weekend to attend Big Blue Madness and reportedly had an amazing time.
A report from the Kentucky Kernel goes more in depth about Lee's visit. Marcus' high school coach Lechet Phillips said, “He enjoyed it immensely, from what I have heard from his family. They were really impressed with Kentucky and he loved everything about it.”
There was another great quote from the article in regards to Lee's favorite moments of the visit:
Marcus’ brother, Brian Lee, was most impressed by the one-of-a-kind video introduction on the hardwood.
“It was pretty crazy watching the video on the floor.”
The fan support is what left the greatest impression on Marcus during his official visit to Lexington.
“The support of Big Blue Madness and Big Blue Nation, the support is still just unbelievable to him,” said Brian Lee.
After the visit, Marcus posted two pictures of his visit on his Twitter account, including one that showed Lee posing with current Kentucky commitments Aaron and Andrew Harrison, James Young and Derek Willis.
The caption for the photo summed it up perfectly, "That's just scary."
Lee had intentions to visit with California this weekend, but he has cancelled that visit in order to move up his decision. All signs point to Lee choosing the Wildcats, but no one will know officially until tomorrow when the five-star defensive announces his college destination.
