The Rock is set to return to the big stage of WrestleMania in 2013 at WrestleMania 29 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
There has been plenty of speculation circulating about who his opponent may be at the big show.
It may still be too early to tell as we are still in October.
Here are four opponents for The Rock at WrestleMania 29, all of which would make sense given a good storyline and sensible writing.
Despite dubbing their WrestleMania 28 blockbuster as "Once In A Lifetime," The Rock vs. John Cena would make sense, given that Johnson scored a clean pinfall victory against the Cenation leader.
In a sense, the WWE broke a tradition of some sort by having a mega-match end with the superstar of the past win against a superstar of the present.
Immediately after the match, fans were wondering when the rematch would be, with the expectation that Rock would succumb to Cena in the second going.
Having these two collide at the biggest show once again would be another blockbuster main event.
The buzz around it would be extraordinary.
Billing it as the biggest rematch in recent memory and centering it around the first match, with the buzz of a big-fight feel just like last year, would treat fans to another legendary attraction.
A match against CM Punk would be intriguing, and looking at the way these two can work in the ring, the match would be a sight to see.
Many fans are expecting these two to go at it at the Royal Rumble in January where the WWE Championship will be on the line.
Should this happen, a rematch at WrestleMania would make sense and add a new element to the attraction.
If The Rock would win at the Rumble, it would set up a great storyline where Punk will be seeking to not only regain his WWE Title but solidify himself as one of the greatest WWE Champions of all time by beating one of the best ever.
The verbal barbs between the two would be nothing short of entertaining, so seeing this as a possibility should get fans that much more excited for WrestleMania 29.
Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock at WrestleMania would be a barn burner for sure.
In a rematch from their SummerSlam 2002 clash for the Undisputed WWE Championship, these two animals colliding at WrestleMania would attract attention.
Going into it, Lesnar would be looking to continue his animalistic dominance in the WWE since his April 2012 return, while The Rock would be looking to avenge that 2002 loss.
The only concern would be Lesnar's new-found MMA-styled offense that he displayed against John Cena and Triple H in 2012.
A match between these two at WrestleMania calls for a high-paced, hard-hitting heavyweight showdown in a battle for supremacy.
Should these two wrestle on the biggest stage of all-time, it would no doubt garner attention from all over the world.
The Rock vs. Triple H.
Two legends, one ring, on the grandest stage of them all.
These two are known for the rivalry that they had in 1999 and 2000. When Stone Cold Steve Austin was sidelined with an injury, it was The Rock and Triple H who stepped up and took the company forward with intense and emotionally charged programs and matches.
Despite this track record, these two have never gone one on one at WrestleMania.
The WWE Championship was on the line at WrestleMania 16 in 2000, however, it was a fatal-four-way elimination match that also involved Mick Foley and the Big Show.
A rivalry, even 13 years down the road, needs a definitive conclusion, and a singles match at WrestleMania would serve as such.
The Rock, having a grudge that the two never faced off at 'Mania one on one, would be looking to gain the definitive final say in the heated rivalry.
Triple H, even with the success that he's had, still has a gripe with The Rock and him having the edge over him 13 years ago.
Imagine two legends colliding at the Showcase of the Immortals to close the book on one of the greatest rivalries and best eras in professional wrestling.
