Wayne Selden of Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire, has committed to Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks for 2013.

Selden, ranked as the No. 14 overall recruit for the class of 2013 is a 6'5" small forward who can also play shooting guard.  After attending Late Night in the Phog last Friday on his only official visit to Lawrence, Kansas, during his recruitment, Selden gave Self a verbal commitment.

Selden joins Conner Frankamp, Brannen Greene and Frank Mason for next year's class and provides even further depth at the two and three, something Self had loads of with Ben McLemore, Andrew White, Rio Adams and Greene.

His size and strength combined with incredible quickness and on-ball suffocating defense has led college coaches to drool over his potential.  In addition to these attributes, he possesses great decision-making on the perimeter and has court vision that allows for impressive ball distribution.  Although he is already considered a premiere defender, he has stated his intent to work on his lateral speed and improved ball handling.

Selden was also considering Kentucky, Syracuse, UCLA and Connecticut amongst others.
