When I was growing up, my mother used to take all the rugs out of the house every few weeks or so, hang them over the clothesline, and beat them silly to knock the dust off them.
Likewise, every week, there are a handful of NFL defensive units that need to be taken out and beaten.
This week, that list begins with the Baltimore Ravens, after they gave up 200 yards on the ground for a second consecutive week, the first time that's happened in the history of the franchise.
To add insult to injury, this team will be without the services of linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Lardarius Webb for the foreseeable future after they suffered severe triceps and ACL injuries, respectively.
In the video above, I look at the five worst defensive performances from around the league in Week 6. There are some mainstays in there, of course (I'm seriously beginning to doubt that the Chiefs will ever escape this list...), and a few new members as well.
