Minnesota Twins Off-Day Notes

It was an off-day in Fort Myers today, one of four in fact that Major League Baseball has added due to the World Baseball Classic. Not much happened, but it gives us a little time to get caught up on everything that has recently.

** Joe Mauer will undergo a MRI tomorrow to find out why it's taking so long to return from offseason kidney surgery. Mauer was expected to be getting on the field, but has had some setbacks and has been restrained to minor indoor activities. Hold your breathe, there will be more tomorrow.

** Justin Morneau and Jesse Crain will be back in camp tomorrow after an early WBC exit. It's probably tough for them, but it should be nice to monitor their progress (mainly Crain) again.

** Nick Punto's Italian team knocked Canada out of the tournament, but if they lose to Venezuela today, Punto will return to camp as well.

** Joe Nathan is getting back on track after feeling fine in recent days. Nathan threw a long bullpen session with no problems, and then pitched solid on Sunday in one inning as he struck out two.

** Nick Blackburn is also getting back on track after throwing live batting practice. Blackburn could pitch in a real game in a few days.
