The St. Louis Rams are in bad shape for the 2009 season. As they lose players, they continue to add on players that are not as talented.

Also, with the possible chance of losing Torry Holt, this team could  end up like the Detroit Lions in the 2008 season, 0-16. St. Louis just released offensive tackle Orlando Pace, a seven time Pro-Bowler.

The Rams still have a chance to succeed, they just need to make sure that they avoid a bust in the draft. The only problem is that they just released an amazing offensive tackle, but are now expected to draft an offensive tackle. What is the point of that?

The starting quarterback of the Rams is also declining every season, as Marc Bulger has struggled. Without him, they only have Trent Green, and if not Trent Green, then a free agent.

That is how the Detroit Lions' problems started. Not to mention with Trent Green's concussion issues, they need to shore up the tackle and guard positions as much as possible.

If they do end up drafting Jason Smith, the offensive tackle out of Baylor, then what are they going to do about the more important positions of the team that they are missing?

I am not a fan of the Rams and have nothing against them, but the coaching of the team has to improve as well.
