The Miami Dolphins held serve at home against a feisty St. Louis Rams team that fought until the end, winning by a score of 17-14.
Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill continued his strong play this season, completing 22-of-29 passes for 185 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
The Dolphins No. 1 rushing defense had trouble stopping Daryl Richardson and Steven Jackson, and the Rams rushed for 162 yards and one touchdown on the day.
It wasn't enough to win the game, though, as the Dolphins front four dominated the trenches in this game, sacking Sam Bradford three times and harassing him throughout the contest.
Rookie defensive end Olivier Vernon had two of those sacks, and Cameron Wake had the other, bumping his seasonal total to 7.5 through six games.
The Dolphins improved to 3-3 on the season. This team will have two weeks to get ready for the New York Jets, as it takes its bye in Week 6. The Rams fall to 3-3 and will host the Green Bay Packers next week.
