Raiders vs. Falcons: Atlanta Holds off Oakland's Late Surge to Stay Undefeated
Matt Ryan lived up to his nickname.
Sort of.
On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Oakland Raiders by the score of 23-20. Matty Ice orchestrated a last-second go-ahead drive that set Matt Bryant up for the game-winning field goal.
Of course, that was after Ryan had thrown three interceptions on the afternoon. Don’t tell him the Raiders fielded the No. 27-ranked pass defense going into Week 6. It was the first time this season he failed to throw multiple touchdown passes.
But despite nearly blowing a perfect record at home against what was projected to be an inferior opponent, in the end, Ryan threw it to the right team when it mattered most.
