Jacobs Won't Make 49ers Debut Against His Old Team, Giants

Brandon Jacobs, the Giants’ all-time leader in rushing touchdowns, won’t be making his 49ers debut today against his former team. Jacobs has practiced for three consecutive weeks since sustaining an Aug. 18 knee injury. Although he expressed frustration to USA Today on Tuesday, Jacobs eased up on that front Wednesday, stating he could play but that it wouldn’t be “smart” to do so.
