TNA Bound for Glory: Austin Aries Is in a Must-Win Situation

In mere hours, TNA Wrestling's biggest event of the year will begin. I'm talking, of course, about Bound For Glory.

The Bound For Glory card is stacked from top to bottom and I, for one, believe this could very well be the single greatest BFG of all time.

Of all the matches, and all the stars on the show, everyone's attention is directed towards the main event: Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries.

One year ago, Jeff Hardy walked into Bound For Glory begging for one more chance following his long absence after the infamous Victory Road debacle of 2011.

Now, Hardy is entering Bound For Glory as a new man. Personal demons behind him, Hardy is refreshed and more focused than ever.

He earned his spot in the main event of Bound For Glory by outlasting 11 of TNA’s top stars in the BFG series. Two victories at No Surrender punched Hardy’s guaranteed ticket to Phoenix, Arizona.

While Hardy asked for one more shot last year, Austin Aries defended his X-Division Championship at Bound For Glory.

It’s been one hell of a ride for Austin Aries and he’s proven that 2012 is really his year. Aries has been on a rapid rise to the top of TNA and captured the ultimate prize, the TNA World Championship, one year after earning a TNA contract at July’s Destination X event.

This match against Jeff Hardy on TNA’s biggest show of the year is the most important match of Austin Aries’ career.

It's "Internet fan favorite" vs. "casual fan favorite" in this match.

Beating Jeff Hardy would give Austin Aries all the perks and accolades he’s ever wanted: the popularity, the credibility, the money, the sense of accomplishment.

Jeff Hardy is looking to write the final chapter of his redemption while Austin Aries is looking to cement his legacy and legitimacy with this match.

It’s about Austin Aries proving himself worthy of the championship he holds and proving himself as "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived."

Very rarely is the champion ever the underdog in a match, but that’s the case here. The immensely popular “Charismatic Enigma,” Jeff Hardy, is heavily favored in this match. Bound For Glory will be a proving ground for champion Austin Aries, who is definitely no stranger to monumental upsets.

The theme for BFG is memories. Memories were born, and even more memories await. What would make for a better memory of BFG '12 than Austin Aries standing over Jeff Hardy, still the TNA World Heavyweight Champion?

Hardy has had his time in the spotlight; his BFG moments. It's time for Austin Aries to have his.

Two men will enter the main event of Bound For Glory but only one will leave as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. The other will leave with nothing but a broken dream and a fantasy of what could have been.

In the battle of "The Charismatic Enigma" vs. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived," what will be the closing memory of BFG: redemption or legitimacy?

Be sure to tune into TNA’s biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory, tonight, October 14, 2012.
