Tigers vs. Yankees Video: TBS Analysts Preview ALCS Game 2

After only one game in the American League Championship Series, the Detroit Tigers already appear to be in the driver’s seat to reach the World Series over the favored New York Yankees.

Not only did the Tigers capture Game 1 in the Bronx 6-4 in 12 innings, but the captain of the Yanks is down for the count. Derek Jeter has a broken ankle, and will not play another inning in 2012. It’s the first Yankees postseason game since 1995 that will be played without the Yankee legend.

So when Hiroki Kuroda takes the mound tonight against Anibal Sanchez, he’ll do so knowing that if the Yankees don’t win tonight, they’ll be facing an 0-2 hole traveling to Detroit, with Tigers ace Justin Verlander waiting for them.

It may only be Game 2, but the stakes are already sky-high for New York as they find themselves desperate for a win to gain some sort of momentum heading to Detroit.

First pitch this afternoon is at 4:00 p.m. ET on TBS.
