NBA 2K13: Best Young Teams to Help You Win Multiple Championships
Before you start playing a long career in NBA 2K13, it is important to pick the right team.
Most people just select their favorite teams and start from there. However, choosing a solid franchise full of talent will make things much easier and more enjoyable when you play the game.
While the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat would obviously help lead you to early titles regardless of your skill level, the squads below are built more for the future.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Everyone knows that the Thunder have talent. The team did advance to the NBA Finals last season before falling to the Heat in five games. Still, the most impressive thing about this squad is how young it is.
The top four scorers for Oklahoma City are all under the age of 25. This includes Team USA members Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, as well as skilled defender Serge Ibaka.
These men are not only some of the best players in the NBA, but they are also still improving as they mature physically and mentally.
More importantly, you can control Westbrook and make sure he does not shoot too much. This alone can make them the best team in basketball.
With the 76ers, you can adjust your lineup as much as you want and hardly lose anything on the court. This is one of the deepest teams in the league, with a full rotation of more than eight guys who would be worthy starters on other clubs.
Andrew Bynum, when healthy, could be one of the best big men in the entire NBA. He begins with a rating of 87, but that can continue to grow as the years progress.
Although the rest of the team is not filled with elite talent, there are plenty of options to give the ball to in order to keep a balanced attack offensively. Defensively, Philadelphia allowed the third-fewest points in the league last season and should be solid once again.
This squad has everything you need to be a virtual winner.
New Orleans Hornets
You might have to be a little more patient with the Hornets than with the previous teams mentioned, but it is likely to pay off in the end.
New Orleans already has one of the best young scorers in the game in Eric Gordon, who has an 85 rating. Once you make sure he stays on the court, he will show his ability to score from anywhere.
On the defensive side, the Hornets added Anthony Davis with the first pick of the draft. You can control the big man and prevent any opponent from scoring inside the paint.
Other positions can be added through the draft, but any team with two elite young players has the chance to be great.
