I am a fan of all sports, especially football and baseball, which are the two most talked about sports for steroids and HGH.

Steroids in sports are illegal and I know that, these players know that as well. The best time to watch baseball was when Slammin' Sammy and Mark McGwire were hitting homer after homer in 1998. Both eclipsed Roger Maris's storied record of 61 homers in a single season.

For me, that was fun seeing all those home runs hit. I know that they test players for steroids now, and I know there still isn't a test for HGH.

The "steroid era" lasted until 2007 when Barry Bonds was indicted on charges. I know that some of the records that were broken in the 10 years of the "steroid era" are tainted, and need to go into a different chapter in the history books. MLB didn't test for steroids heavily until 2006, and they still don't have a test for HGH which is banned as well.

Why should players get in trouble for using a banned substance when they don't even have a test for it yet? That's like saying you can't drink and drive, but if you do, and get caught, we're not gonna give you a breathalyzer.

From 2006 on I think that anyone who does fail a test needs dire consequences. Anyone before than needs to fess up. If you were on the Mitchell report then you will be forgiven. Sports fans are the most forgiving people. Tell us and get it over with. I mean look at what is happening to Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.

The steroid era was fun to watch but the post steroid era is going to be more competitive and a more level playing field. I am very excited about what the future holds in this post steroid era.
