Auburn vs. Ole Miss: Live Scores, Analysis and Results
Auburn — 20
Ole Miss — 41
Auburn falls to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play. Ole Miss improves to 4-3 and 1-2 in the SEC.
Next week, Auburn goes to Vanderbilt (where I'm sure it will be an underdog). This will be Auburn's last chance at an SEC win this season.
Ole Miss heads to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks.
Thank you for following today. War Eagle and Hotty Toddy!
This Auburn team is not in very good company.
Auburn is assured of no winning SEC record for 4th time in 5 years. Last time that happened was in 1940s & '50s.— Jon Solomon (@jonsol) October 13, 2012
The defense played decently for about half of the game. There were some good adjustments made after the Rebels drove down the field with ease on their first drive.
Still, it was 3rd-and-16 and Auburn was only down seven points. Auburn did not finish the tackle and after that the game was over.
The play-calling was absolutely horrendous in the second-half compared to the first.
The offensive line showed zero improvement after last week's lackluster performance.
Auburn played the first half like most people expected it to. It was a ball-control, run-first type of offense.
How can Gene Chizik defend his job status after losses like these? Auburn has shown zero improvement in 2012 and may have actually regressed from the team that narrowly lost to Clemson.
Auburn suffered their worst loss to Ole Miss today since 1992. Times are tough on the Plains.
Ole Miss beats Auburn, 41-20 today in Oxford, MS.
This isn't something you can point to and say "Don't fire me."

Gene Chizik and the Auburn Tigers have been Mississippi State's first SEC West win other than Ole Miss and been beaten by Ole Miss to snap its 16-game SEC losing streak.
Touchdown, Ole Miss. 4th quarter. 3:26 Remaining. Auburn — 20, Ole Miss — 41.
Not much left to say about Auburn.
Ole Miss interception.
It is Auburn's second turnover of the day. If the TD did not put things away, that interception just did.
That should wrap things up for this game. Auburn will fall to 1-5 and 0-4 in 2012. Calls for Gene Chizik's job will get very loud this week.
Call stands. Extra-point attempt is good. 4th Quarter. 5:02 remaining. Auburn — 20, Ole Miss — 34.
Touchdown, Ole Miss. 5:02 remaining. Ole Miss — 33, Auburn — 20. Pending extra point.
Play is under review.
3rd-and-long for Ole Miss here. If Auburn gets the stop, it will give the offense a little over four minutes to tie the game up.
Wow. Poor snap and short throw. Ole Miss still gets the first down. Horrible fundamentals there by the defensive back.
Again. Why are the receivers running only a couple yards short of the first down marker on third down?
Judging by these penalties. Auburn does not want to win today. Goodness.
Great job of staying in the pocket and not watching the rush on that play by Moseley.
Another stop for the Auburn D.
Auburn had the ball at the Ole Miss 38-yard line. Instead, an offsides penalty by Auburn gives the punter another chance. Instead of Auburn ball in Ole Miss territory. Auburn gets it near its own 30-yard line.
Three of Auburn's four drives of the second half have been three-and-outs.— Mike Szvetitz (@Szvetitz) October 13, 2012
Not the recipe for a win.
The Auburn defense needs a turnover right now in the worst kind of way.
That is not the response that Auburn needed, obviously. Emory Blake needs to go to the sticks on that route. Would not have been a first down anyway.
Tre Mason had 3 carries for 39 yards in 3rd quarter. Has 16 for 87 and 2 TD. He needs more carries in 4th for AU to win— Bryan Matthews (@BMatt247) October 13, 2012
