Along with The Boogeyman, the release of Kizarny confused me. They spent months airing promos for his big debut and then we only see him compete once on Smackdown against MVP and then I think we saw him talk to Vickie backstage a couple of weeks ago, but that's about it.
Putting all that time and money on a single superstar and then only using him once on television seems pretty stupid.
While his promos are airing, I am thinking to myself, "What makes this guy so special that he gets these huge promos? Is he going to do some carny tricks as his gimmick like swallow swords or spit fire?"
When the time came for him to debut, I was pretty excited to see what he had in store for the Smackdown audience.
From what I could tell, his gimmick was just to act very awkward in the ring and move around in an unorthodox style and that was about it. No fire, no sword swallowing, what's the point of this character?
I did see him at a Smackdown house show going up against MVP and to tell you the truth, it was pretty entertaining but nothing special. Although the sign guy was there and had a sign saying "MVP Wants A Bite Of Kizarny's Corndog" which was the highlight of the match.
Overall, Kizarny was a huge let down because there was no place for his character to develop. One thought would have been if him and The Boogeyman teamed up and they could have been one of the weirdest tag teams ever.
Their stable could have been called "The Freak Show" or something to that nature and it would have been entertaining.
If the WWE is going to shell out all this money with promos of returning or debuting superstars, they should at least deliver with something big and not a superstar that's only going to last a few months.
To sum it all up: STOP WASTING MY TIME IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DELIVER! That's all I ask.
[Side note: Bring back the Cruiserweight title.]
