Trailer: A Football Life
McNair started his career with the Houston Oilers in 1995. He spent 11 seasons with the franchise before moving on from the Tennessee Titans and joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2006.
He had one of his best season in 2003, throwing for over 3,200 yards with 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He finished the year with a QB Rating of 100.4, his only season with a rating above 91.
He struggled in the playoffs that season, though. After winning a close game against the Ravens on Wild Card Weekend, the Titans lost in the divisional round to the New England Patriots.
McNair played in one Super Bowl, a 23-16 loss to the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV following the 1999 season. Kevin Dyson caught a pass from McNair but came up just short of the goal line on the final play.
In a tragic event, McNair was found dead in a Nashville condo on July 4, 2009.
The NFL Network will look at the highs and lows of his career and life, detailing his success, the physical pain he dealt with late in his career and his death.
