The Washington Nationals forced a deciding Game 5 when Jason Werth hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth on Thursday, beating the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1.

This was the second one-run game in the series, both of which have been won by the Nationals. The Cardinals won the second and third games in the series by eight-run margins.

Adam Wainwright will attempt to redeem the Cardinals' Game 1 loss, as he again faces off against Gio Gonzalez. The two starters gave up just three runs combined in that start

Game 5 of this series begins on Friday at 8:37 p.m. ET.
