The Washington Nationals live to see another day.

With their backs to the wall in their home stadium, the upstart Nationals found a way to force a decisive Game 5 with a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jayson Werth was the hero, coming up with the clutch solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to walk off and send the Washington crowd into a frenzy. All game long, Washington found a way to counter the dominant pitching of the Cardinals with massive performances of their own. Ross Detwiler pitched six shutout innings and gave the ball to the bullpen, which proceeded to strike out eight batters across three innings.

If you missed the game or just want to relive a thrilling Game 4, here are the biggest plays from today's contest.
