Less than 24 hours after one of the most memorable postseason wins in the history of the franchise, the New York Yankees will look to eliminate their AL East rival Baltimore Orioles on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium in Game 4 of the ALDS.
Phil Hughes will receive the ball for New York after going 16-13 with a 4.23 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP during the regular season.
He’ll face off against Joe Saunders, who is fresh off pitching 5.2 innings of one-run baseball against the Texas Rangers in Baltimore’s thrilling Wild Card win last week.
The big story entering the game will be the health of Derek Jeter. He left after the eighth inning on Wednesday with an ankle injury, and according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, the future Hall of Famer is officially listed as “day-to-day."
It's elimination time for the O’s, and you can catch all of the action on TBS beginning at 7:37 p.m. ET.
