Can the Milwaukee Bucks Make the Playoffs?
The Milwaukee Bucks made strides with each player almost doubling their average points per game when Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut were put on the injured list.
The Bucks nearly hit a .500 record.
It's hard to keep the power going.
Last week, the Bucks lost every game of the week including the blowout game with the Cavaliers. Why the sudden change?
They have been losing steam. It has got to be hard to keep the power streak with "supporting players" playing as if they were starters. Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva can't keep the team above water when the other guys are not producing.
The Bucks were a serious contender and it showed with the 103-111 loss to the Cavaliers in late February.
The simple fact is that the "supporters" still need to step up their game if they are going to contend with the Celtics or the Cavs again. It's not that the Bucks don't have the roster to get things done, it's just that they need re-energize.
Skiles has turned this team from something of a laughing stock into a team that has been gaining serious attention from rivals...until now that is.
The Bucks can't make the playoffs without the energized play they have continued up until recently.
Jefferson and Charlie V have the power to lead the team to a playoff spot but it won't be any good unless the rest of the team is awake when they start to lead.
8th place spot? I don't think so. The Bucks will easily make the seventh or sixth place spot if they can get their act together.
