The Red River Shootout (not the Rivalry—we’re kicking it ol’ school) is one of the games you look forward to each year.
You anticipate the early wake up, you know the two teams quite well and you know that this game will likely feature points. You never quite know which side those points will come from, but you know they will be come in bunches.
Points will be a familiar theme in 2012, and both teams will look to light up the scoreboard in this one.
Landry Jones had his best game of the season last week against Texas Tech, while the Longhorns’ offensive output came up short. Each team has a loss, and this one means much more than bragging rights.
The winner will immediately join the ranks of the Big 12’s finest, while the loser will be moved down to the middle of the pack.
