In case you were wondering, Carlos Beltran really enjoys the playoffs.

The veteran right fielder belted two home runs on Monday night to pace the St. Louis Cardinals to a dominant 12-4 win over the Washington Nationals, tying the series at one game apiece.

It was the third multi-homer playoff game of Beltran's career, second only to the Sultan of Swat himself, Babe Ruth.

But it wasn't just Beltran who got into the home-run hitting act during Game 2's slugfest. Allen Craig and Daniel Descalso also went yard to help the Cards escape Jamie Garcia lasting just two innings.

The Nationals got back-to-back home runs from Ryan Zimmerman and Adam LaRoche in the fifth inning to cut the lead to 7-3, but it was far from enough to keep up with St. Louis' 13-hit barrage.

Jordan Zimmerman, who gave up five runs in three innings, was saddled with the loss while Lance Lynn got the win in relief for the Cards.

Game 3 will be back in Washington on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
