Arkansas finally had some reason to celebrate this season: a 24-7 road win over Auburn. It was the first time the Hogs had been able to notch a win in a month.

But, in keeping with the disastrous narrative that is the 2012 season for Arkansas, the celebration has not come without a price. Coach John L. Smith announced Monday during his press conference that linebacker Alonzo Highsmith is out for the season with a foot injury. Highsmith suffered the injury during the first half against Auburn. He is undergoing surgery today to repair ligament damage.
