TALLADEGA, Ala. — As Denny Hamlin saw fans beating up on his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch on Twitter after his brief but bitter tongue-lashing over his in-car radio on Toyota Racing Development, Hamlin felt compelled to tweet a few responses in defense of Busch following the Sprint Cup Series race last Sunday at Dover. Hamlin knows a driver can't bash the manufacturer — after he failed to win at Dover, Busch said over his in-car radio: "Thank you TRD. (Expletive) us out of another one. Piece of (expletive) (expletive) — but Hamlin understood Busch's pain after Busch led 302 of the 400 laps yet didn't win because he had to pit late for fuel.
