I guess Bronson Arroyo is ready for the playoffs.
The veteran continued one of the best seasons of his career on Sunday night with seven innings of one-hit, no-run ball as the Cincinnati Reds rolled to a 9-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants. They now have a commanding 2-0 lead in the series with the series going back to Cincy.
In addition to Arroyo being lights out, the Reds' offense got all over Madison Bumgarner, who gave up four runs on seven hits in just 4.1 innings. Tim Lincecum chipped in two solid innings in relief, but it was too little, too late for San Francisco.
Ryan Ludwick had the game's only home run, while Brandon Phillips added two doubles, Joey Votto had three hits, Jay Bruce had two RBI and Ryan Hanigan drove in three.
Cincinnati will look to close out the series at home on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
