Game 1 of the National League Division series between the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals saw Washington score two runs in the eighth inning to steal a game on the road.
With the victory, Washington guaranteed itself two home games in a shortened five-game series.
Game 2 will feature Jordan Zimmermann of the Nationals and Jaime Garcia of the Cardinals. Zimmermann was 12-8 on the season with a 2.94 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 32 starts. Garcia finished the campaign with a 7-7 record and a 3.92 ERA in 20 starts.
St. Louis' middle of the order will look to get it going against the tough Nationals rotation. The Cardinals' middle of the lineup (Matt Holliday, Allen Craig and Yadier Molina) went 0-for-10 Sunday in the loss. If they do the same thing Monday, St. Louis may be looking at a 2-0 deficit heading to Washington.
You can watch Game 2 Monday at 4:37 p.m. ET on TBS.
