Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers: Preview & Prediction

Peyton Manning has had a couple near-comebacks so far in 2012, but this team keeps falling too far behind early on in games. While he is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game, he can't be expected to keep dragging his team back into contention.

In the video above, we look at that as well as the biggest matchups and storylines for this big AFC West showdown, including Norv Turner's criminal mishandling of Ryan Matthews and how he needs to rectify that ASAP if the San Diego Chargers are going to win this game.

For the Denver Broncos, it's as simple as needing to put points on the board early. This team isn't built to come from behind, and they keep having to do so due to an ineffective offense and because they keep coughing the ball up at the worst possible times.

For the Chargers, there is a distinct lack of explosion in the offense, mostly due to a talent bleed that has drained this franchise of offensive skill players over the last two years. That, coupled with Antonio Gates' decline along with Turner's inexcusable treatment of Ryan Matthews and insistence on riding Philip Rivers, and you get outcomes like you did in New Orleans.

If Turner can get back to his Dallas Cowboys offensive-coordinator roots, the Chargers will have the makeup to win this game.
