It wasn't pretty, but the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 9-6 in a defensive showdown.
Joe Flacco had a rough day under center for the Ravens. He was 13-of-27 for 187 yards and one interception. However, he was bailed out by Ray Rice, who rushed for 102 yards, and Justin Tucker, who was 3-of-3 on field goals.
His counterpart at quarterback, Matt Cassel, had an equally rough showing against a swarming Ravens defense. Actually, he wasn't able to finish the game after sustaining a head injury midway through the fourth quarter.
Cassel was replaced by Brady Quinn, but he was unable to help the Chiefs mount a late comeback.
The win moves the Ravens to 4-1 on the season and drops Kansas City to 1-4.
