Statistics tell the story for Rodgers' side. Only two shots from 18 hit the target today. Stoke barely threatened and managed to equal the number.

POST MATCH:
Brendan Rodgers' Anfield frustration continues. His side played with attacking intent today. A number of sloppy passes and poor decisions saw the visitors hold on for a draw.
Stoke barely got into the game. They were dazzled by the skills of Sterling and Suarez. Tony Pulis set his side up to defend and they've delivered by securing a point. The Potters won't be winning any plaudits for style though.
Suarez looked as if they could win Liverpool the points. The Uruguayan showed both sides of his game. For every excellent dribble there was a needless dive or kick out in frustration. Perhaps Huth's man-handling in the early stages got to the forward?
FULL TIME
90+3'— Suarez can't reach Skrtel's long pass. He kicks the ball into the Kop out of frustration.
90+2'— Liverpool win a late corner. Agger's header is cleared straight into the path of Joe Cole, who comes closer to scoring at Goodison Park than the Kop.
90'— Four minutes of additional time to be played.
90'— CHANCE! Skrtel comes close with a flick from Gerrard's free kick. So close!
89'— YELLOW CARD! Dean Whitehead clatters into Sterling. The 17-year-old is far too fast for the midfielder. Whitehead gladly takes the yellow.
87'— The game has entered a lull. Brendan Rodgers' men are continually thwarted by a disciplined Stoke defense.
84'— A decent spell of possession is once again beaten away by Stoke. Pulis has wheeled the double-decker bus out here. Liverpool fans scream for their team to attack.
82'— Suarez steals the ball from the Stoke defence and flashes a shot just past the post.
80'— SUBSTITUTE FOR STOKE. Adam leaves the game to generous applause from both sets of supporters. Edu makes his debut.
79'— SUBSTITUTE FOR LIVERPOOL. Assaidi replaces Sahin.
75'— YELLOW CARD! 15 minutes left here and Stoke start to waste time. Walters is booked for kicking the ball away.
74'— Oh dear. A blatant dive from Suarez is met by an angry reaction from Stoke's players. Suarez did brilliantly to get the ball into the box, did he need to fall down?
72'— YELLOW CARD! Charlie Adam gives away a free kick. The danger is eventually soaked up by Begovic.
71'— CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Agger breaks into the box. The ball drops to Sterling who has time and space. He shoots to the near post and hits the side netting. That wasn't a good effort from the impressive teen, he should have squared it.
69'— Agger puffs his chest out and tepidly fires a free kick towards goal. It hardly goes past the first man. Liverpool continue to retain control of the match.
67'— SUBSTITUTION FOR LIVERPOOL. Suso is replaced by Joe Cole.
64'— Decent play from Walters is met by nobody in the box. He plays the ball back to Adam who manages to retain possession. The ball falls to N'Zonzi who blasts over from the edge of the box.
62'— SUBSTITUTION FOR STOKE. Matt Etherington comes on for Kightly.
61'— We've got 30 minutes left and the Stoke fans are singing. They seem confident of a result here.
58'— CHANCE FOR SUAREZ! A brilliant run is met with an awful finish. Suarez picks the ball up on the halfway line and powers into the Stoke box. He has plenty of the goal to aim at but fires his shot over. Should have been a goal.
55'— CHANCE FOR STOKE! Walters clashes in the air with Skrtel and Wisdom. Play continues with Kightly, who has space in the box. His cross is hacked away by Agger.
