Best Options to Replace Bobby Valentine as Red Sox Manager
Everyone knew it was going to happen, but the Boston Red Sox finally made it official on Thursday. Controversial manager Bobby Valentine has been fired after one year at the helm.
Valentine presided over the worst season the Red Sox franchise has seen in a long time. The Red Sox finished with 93 losses—their first 90-loss season since 1966—and they made an utter mockery of themselves in the process. The Red Sox were more like an MTV reality show than a baseball team.
Now that Valentine is gone, the question immediately becomes: Who will fill his shoes? Who should the Red Sox’s next manager be?
I've shared my thoughts on the matter in the above video. Red Sox fans will be glad to know that the club has a lot of options, including some really good ones.
