Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg voiced his irritation over the stalemate between the NHL and the NHL Players Association, wondering how one side was supposed to negotiate when the other seems unwilling to budge.

The NHL lockout began Sept. 16 and already has wiped out all exhibition games. Next week's start to the 2012-13 season is expected to be canceled later this week. Talks between NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and PA executive Donald Fehr have been fruitless, and Zetterberg, echoing many players, points the finger at the league's lack of flexibility.
