John David Mercer-US PRESSWIRE

Missouri's first football game against Alabama in 34 years will be broadcast nationally by CBS TV with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff Oct. 13 at Faurot Field.

Alabama (5-0) is the near-unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, missing out by only two first-place votes in the highly unscientific (coaches) USA Today poll. The Crimson Tide took all 60 first-place votes in the more legitimate balloting (media) for the AP poll.
