Through the first month of the NFL season, we've seen some teams surprise and some teams disappoint. As always, the league provides us with endless opportunities to speculate which teams are "for real" and which are masquerading as something more than they are.

In the video above, Josh Zerkle and I go through a list of eight teams that have fans and NFL observers wrestling with what it is they are seeing on the field. Are these teams destined for the playoffs and perhaps a Super Bowl run? Or are they fooling everyone and ready to fall apart at any moment.

From the Minnesota Vikings and their surprising start to the Denver Broncos and their aging superstar quarterback, from the Eagles winning with defense and a running game to the Bears finally looking like a complete team, Josh and I give our quick-hit thoughts for each.

So watch, digest and let us know in the comment section where you agree, where you disagree and which teams we left off that should have been given the "Contenders or Pretenders" treatment.
