Even though he plays a character who is quite disrespectful on-screen, CM Punk will be showing respect this Wednesday, October 3 at the ComedySportz theater in Lakeview, Ill. for a benefit honoring the late Sam Thompson.
According to a letter Colt Cabana wrote to the Chicago Tribune, Thompson was a diehard wrestling fan until he unfortunately passed away in June.
Punk and Cabana will take the stage together and share stories about their time on the road and their wrestling experiences.
This will be a chance to see CM Punk in a more personal environment as well as get a chance to hear some stories from his time on the Indys.
According to the same article, there is even a chance we could hear a rare story about Vince McMahon in Iraq with CM Punk.
Whenever we hear about WWE and charity it is usually something about John Cena, but CM Punk is proving himself to be a giving man as well.
Wrestling memorabilia will also be auctioned off at the event with the proceeds being donated to the Sam Thompson Memorial Fund.
If you are in the Lakeview area then I highly suggest trying to get tickets for this event, which are available for $20 at SamThompsonMemorial.org.
