At UFC on FX 5, Travis Browne will attempt to earn contender status with a win over Strikeforce veteran Antonio Silva.

Undefeated in 14 fights, the 30-year-old Browne has been on the verge of a breakthrough for quite some time, but he had a slight setback with a draw against Cheick Kongo in October 2010.

In addition to the heavyweight bout between Browne and Silva, UFC on FX 5 will feature a welterweight rematch between Jake Ellenberger and Jay Hieron, who will be returning to the Octagon shortly after fighting against Ben Askren for the Bellator championship.

In June 2006, Hieron won the last meeting between these two fighters via decision, but Ellenberger has vastly improved over the past six years.

Also, a flyweight matchup between John Dodson and Jussier da Silva will determine the next 125-pound title contender. The winner of that bout will likely meet champion Demetrious Johnson in early-2013.

Shortly after the event concludes, Browne, Silva, Ellenberger, Hieron, Dodson, Da Silva and several more of the night's competitors will likely join UFC president Dana White for a post-fight press conference.

A live streaming feed of the post-fight press conference will be available on the above video player.
