UFC on FX 5: Travis Browne vs. Antonio Silva Live Streaming Weigh-in Video

Sean SmithAnalyst IOctober 4, 2012

Travis Browne remains unbeaten in five UFC appearances, so he'll get a deserved opportunity to compete in his first main event against Antonio Silva at UFC on FX 5.

With a win over Silva, a Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix semifinalist, Browne will break into the upper echelon of the UFC's heavyweight division.

Coming off a loss to former UFC champion Cain Velasquez in his Octagon debut, Silva will attempt to halt Browne's rise by taking this fight to the ground and utilizing his brutal ground-and-pound skills.

In addition to the heavyweight main event, Friday's fight card will feature a co-main event that will match Jake Ellenberger against Jay Hieron. The bout will mark Hieron's return to the UFC in a rematch of a fight he won under the IFL banner in June 2006.

Furthermore, the next flyweight title challenger will be determined in a scrap between The Ultimate Fighter winner John Dodson and UFC newcomer Jussier da Silva. The winner is expected to meet Demetrious Johnson in a 125-pound title fight in early 2013.

Before UFC on FX 5, which will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., the fighters will hit the scales on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. Video of the weigh-ins will be streamed live on the above video player.
