Kicker Greg Zuerlein was the first pick of the sixth round in the 2012 NFL draft. Coming out of Missouri Western, he was known for his explosive power in which he could absolutely boot the football.

Playing only one season for the team his senior year, he set an NCAA record with 21 consecutive field goals where nine of those came from 50+ yards out.

Now playing for the St. Louis Rams, it is very clear who the MVP of the team is so far this season. Greg "the Leg" Zuerlein is perfect this season on field-goal attempts, which has helped boost the Rams to two wins, matching their total for the 2011 season.

With a long of 60 yards, Zuerlein is 3-for-3 on 50+ yard attempts and 5-for-5 from 40-49 yards out. He has accounted for 41 of the Rams' 79 points on the season and should be considered the MVP of the team thus far. He put four attempts through the uprights against the divisional rival Seattle Seahawks to give St. Louis a huge win as well as a big boost of confidence.

The newly revamped defense has the Rams staying in games, allowing them to compete. The offense, however, has struggled to put it simply. Twenty-seventh in the league in total offense so far, the Rams are only averaging 287 yards per game.

Greg "the Leg" Zuerlein is the key to keeping these games close and edging teams out for the win. It seems all the offense has to do is move the ball to the opponent's 40-yard line and it becomes an automatic three points.

Look for the sixth-round draft pick out of Missouri Western to have an impressive rookie season as he helps kick-start the new era of the St. Louis Rams.
