Champions League Matchday 2 got underway with four groups in action and eight games to enjoy in Europe’s premier club competition.

There were expected victories for big hitters Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona, while Celtic and BATE Borisov upset the formbook to achieve notable scalps—the latter beating German giants Bayern Munich.

Elsewhere, Juventus were held at home by Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Braga won at Galatasaray to make it two defeats in a row for the Turks, and Valencia made sure French side Lille are reeling with an identical record.
