Alas, video game and basketball fans can rejoice. NBA 2K13 is finally here!

Following the success of NBA 2K12 in which 2K Sports sold a booming 5 million copies worldwide, they are back at it again with NBA 2K13.

2K Sports' new game gives fans the chance to pick between the best players in NBA history and the current stars in the league.

With new and improved features to enhance and take virtual games to a higher level, fans will be on the lookout for the best players to help them win.

Here are the three best players in NBA 2K13.

Michael Jordan

Sitting at the top of the list with a rating of 99 is none other than Michael Jordan. Looking back on Jordan’s highly notable career in the NBA, this rating makes complete and perfect sense. Jordan’s extensive list of achievements includes: six-time champion, six-time finals MVP, five-time NBA, 10-time scoring champion, 14-time All-Star and many, many more.

With a seemingly never-ending list of accomplishments, it is understandable why Michael Jordan is considered the GOAT. In comparing his achievements back then to the players in the league now, Jordan is still way ahead of the pack.

Since NBA 2K13 allows fans to use old-school Jordan on their teams, he is the undoubtedly the best player in the game.

LeBron James

In real life, LeBron James is nowhere near Michael Jordan in racking up trophy after trophy. But one thing's for sure: James is just as dominant.

Virtual LeBron should be able to exactly capture LeBron’s persona on the court. Thus, LeBron will be an absolute monster in the new game.

LeBron is a beast both offensively and defensively. His ability to shoot at will and single-handedly dominate games makes him an absolute force to be reckoned with. And that's not to mention his stifling defense. LeBron simply does it all.

Kevin Durant

Last season, Kevin Durant officially established himself as one of the most dominant forces in the league. With a variety of skills in his basketball repertoire, he is definitely a top player fans will want to use.

Durant’s speed and athleticism at such a tall height make him an anomaly on the court, and teams struggle to contain him. This is an asset for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but a nuisance for everybody else.

His ball-handling skills allow him to play the point guard position even as a small forward. A pure shooter and scorer, Durant can hit any shot from any spot on the court. His length alone confuses other teams and helps him in shooting his indefensible shots.

With real-life, video-game skills, any fan who wants to increase their chances of winning games should have him on their team.
