New York Giants: Top 5 Performers of September

0 of 5

The New York Giants lost a tough one to the Philadelphia Eagles last week, but they've still been playing pretty well throughout the month of September.

Five Giants in particular deserve some praise, and that's all that matters in this article.

Let's forget about last week, our record in the division and whatever else is on your mind.

These guys have been playing well enough to merit some appreciation time.

Eli Manning

1 of 5

Eli Manning has thrown 160 passes through the month of September, and he completed 64.4 percent of them. He also threw for 1,320 yards to go with his seven touchdowns and four interceptions.

I do like what I'm seeing from Eli thus far, as the only thing I can really knock him for was the red-zone interception against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

Victor Cruz

2 of 5

Victor Cruz is big time, but we should all know this by now.

So far, Mr. Salsa has 32 receptions for 388 yards and two touchdowns.

Without Hakeem Nicks last week, the Philadelphia Eagles were all over him, but he still hauled in nine receptions for 109 yards!

The closest person to receptions caught for the New York Giants is Martellus Bennett with 16, who has been having a pretty good September himself.

Andre Brown

3 of 5

Andre Brown just had to make this list, there was no way around it.

He came up huge when Ahmad Bradshaw went down earlier in the month, and he has 38 rushes for 198 yards and three touchdowns so far.

He didn't have a great game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he only rushed the ball five times.

I do think we'll see better things from him down the road, like that monster 20 carries for 113 yards and two-touchdown performance from Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antrel Rolle

4 of 5

Antrel Rolle has been a tackling machine for the New York Giants so far this season.

This guy has 23 tackles through four games and only two of them has been assisted! He's helping the defense immensely as a safety, seeing as without his tackling services, the G-Men could've easily given up bigger plays.

I was shocked myself when I saw he's currently leading the Giants in tackles, even though it's not a great look for our safety to have so many tackles, he's still doing his job very well.

Michael Boley

5 of 5

Michael Boley has been absolutely huge for the New York Giants, and this can't be overlooked.

He has three interceptions through four games, and the only week he didn't pick one off was last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he still did record five tackles, so Boley is making things happen even when he's not getting interceptions.

Keith Rivers has been banged up in September, as well as a good number of players on the G-Men, so these kind of contributions from Boley are much appreciated.
