NFL, AFC West, Oakland Raiders, DeAngelo Hall, NFL Trade

At ajc.com they are reporting that D. Hall stated on Tuesday that his deal to be traded to the Raiders will be signed by this coming Thursday.

It has been reported by NFL Network and else where that the Raiders and Atlanta have already agreed on the trade.

The Raiders are reported to be giving up their second-round pick, number 34 overall, and possibly a sixth-round pick.

The Raiders will pair the two time Pro Bowl CB up with Nnamdi Asoumgha to form arguably the best pair of corners in the NFL.

On Monday the deal was reported to almost be completed only to stall on Monday. Although the Raiders and Atlanta had agreed on the trade in principal.

Hall only had two years remaining on his contract and could void the second year.  The Raiders had to try and get Hall to sign a new long term deal and apparently mission accomplished.

  1. YES!

  2. It's official! DeAngelo Hall will be an Oakland Raider! I'm loving this. Al needs to be thanked for pulling this off. I hate to lose a 2nd & 6th round draft pick giving the Raiders fewer draft picks but I doubt a 2nd or 6th rounder will give the team more production NOW than Hall will. Hopefully the team will look to trade Fabian Washington & Stuart Schweigart for more picks or a trade down in the 1st round might be coming. Go Raiders!

  3. Al Davis realizes that the Raiders are well positioned to make a postseason run, if only they had some dynamic players on D, which they won't get in the draft. If the Raiders take Vernon Gholston in the draft and sign QB Trent Dilfer--who knows, maybe Oakland will be the 2nd time Dilfer wins a Ring with an overpowering Defense.

  4. d-mac going oak-town
