Philadelphia Eagles vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview and Predictions

Aaron NaglerNFL National Lead WriterOctober 1, 2012

The battle of Pennsylvania resumes in Pittsburgh with two teams going in opposite directions. The Steelers are coming off of a tough road loss in Oakland and had a bye week to think about it. The Eagles, on the other hand, rediscovered their run game and LeSean McCoy against the Giants to improve to 3-1.

Of the Eagles' three wins, they've all been decided by two points or less. Michael Vick, like his team, has been living on the edge. The boo-birds in Philly have been talking a lot of Nick Foles this year, but all Vick has done is win, and he continues to be the Eagles' starter.

The heart and soul of the Steelers is and always has been their tough defense. Many critics have pointed to Pittsburgh's advanced age on the defense, though, and it is slowing down.

The Steelers will have to play a fast defensive game to contain Michael Vick and the newly-found LeSean McCoy.
