Attendance was down after Avery left, but the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL kept their winning streak alive, beating the Worcester Sharks 3-1. The Wolf Pack went on a six game winning streak with Avery and kept it alive after he left for the New York Rangers in the NHL.

The Wolf Pack (34-23-2-3) had an announced crowd of 2,260 at the XL Center. While Avery played in Hartford, they drew close to 6,000 fans, which was 2,000 more than their average attendance.

Avery's place on left wing with the Wolf Pack was taken by Mark Bell, claimed by the Rangers off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs. He had been playing for the Toronto Marlies.

Bell was inserted at left wing with AHL All-Star center Artem Anisimov and P.A. Parenteau. The new line combined for eight points.

The Pack moved into a first-place tie with Providence in the Atlantic Division with their latest win.

Parenteau and Anisimov are third and sixth in the AHL in scoring.

Matt Zaba stopped 34 shots, including 18 in the third period. The Sharks outshot the Wolf Pack 35-29. Zaba was named the goaltender of the month of February.

The Pack won their seventh in a row for the first time since the 2004-'05 season. The three stars of the game were (3) Parenteau (0-3-3) (2) Bell (1-1-2), (1) Anisimov (2-1-2).

Attendance was announced 2,260.
