NFL Week 5: Tennessee Titans vs. Minnesota Vikings Preview and Predictions

Michael Schottey@SchotteyNFL National Lead WriterOctober 1, 2012

The Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings face off in Week 5 as two teams with similar building blocks but going in completely opposite directions.

The Titans thought they had their stud running back in Chris Johnson, but he's been a disappointment in two straight seasons. Johnson bounced back in a big way against the Houston Texans last week, but time will tell if that trend will continue.

The Titans also love their sophomore quarterback, Jake Locker, but he's been up and down as well. He's also nursing a shoulder injury that could affect his availability in this one.

The Minnesota Vikings look like a team that has finally learned how to win even though just about everyone picked them to finish last in the NFC North this season.

Adrian Peterson has bounced back from injuries and looks every bit the stud workhorse we've seen throughout his career. Christian Ponder has taken a big step forward in his second year, and Percy Harvin remains one of the most underrated names in football.
