NCAA Going Overboard

Matt Shea@isheax407Correspondent IMarch 7, 2009

FSU was caught cheating in 2007, we all know that.

I recently got a call from a reporter at the Sentinel asking me for my opinion.

Here it is in a nutshell.

I don't care what happens to the athletes that took part in this. What they did was wrong, and they got what they deserved.

I don't care what happens to the people that supplied them the answers to the tests and allowed them to cheat, they got theirs as well.

I do care what happens with Coach Bowden's record and the fact that they may expunge 14 of his wins. That's ridiculous, considering he had no part in the scandal.

Monk, the lady who started this crap, shouldn't be allowed to sue the university for blowing her cover, she's the one that got us into the mess we're in!

The university should be allowed to sue her, the NCAA, and The Big Boys Upstairs to fine her as well.

Coach Bowden is still the best coach that's coached the game in the history of the sport and doesn't deserve to lose 14 wins that probably didn't affect a national title or some championship, since that we haven't been on that level in football in a while.

What's the call, guys? Agree or disagree?
