Week 5 has come and gone, and we are one week closer to crowning a Heisman winner. There are many games to be played—including some major matchups in Week 6—that will help clear this up, but we’ve still got a long way to go.
We’ve also seen a pretty good sample size already, however.
The Heisman favorite is very clear, although after that, the picture is cluttered. For the first time this year, a defensive player finds himself in this discussion, because others did not make the most of the opportunity.
Big games and performances could shake things up drastically in the coming days, but for now, we’re left to fill in the names after the No. 1 spot. I think you already have a pretty good idea who that is.
